- No advertising
- One-time sign-in link
- 18+
What you should know
- Drink Buddy is not a health app. It does not estimate blood alcohol and cannot tell you whether you are fit to drive.
- There is no public feed. Strangers cannot find or follow you.
- There are no passwords: signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email, which expires after ten minutes.
- Location is off until you turn it on, and place names are worked out on our own server without calling a mapping company.
- There is no advertising, no advertising identifier and no third-party analytics in the app.
- Deleting your account can be cancelled for 7 days; after that it is permanent.
- Drink Buddy is for people aged 18 and over, and older where the legal drinking age is higher.

What the app is, and why
Why it records water and coffee, not just alcohol
Being category-generic costs the app a one-sentence description and gains it eleven more days a week. The reasoning, and the cost the team accepts for it.
Five check-ins a day, and why that is a feature
A cap that a cost spreadsheet would have produced anyway, argued here on its own merits: scarcity, a feed one person cannot flood, and permission to put the phone down.
