Child Safety Standards

Zero tolerance

Drink Buddy prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualising a minor, grooming, sextortion, and using the app to contact, exploit or traffic a child. The rule covers photos, Buddymoji selfies, check-ins, comments, profiles and every other part of the app.

How the app is built

• Adults only. Everyone is asked for their date of birth when they first sign in, and anyone who gives a date of birth under 18 is refused.

• No private messages. There is no way to send anybody a private message in Drink Buddy.

• Friends only. Check-ins, and the photos, comments, reactions and likes on them, are visible only to people the author has accepted as friends.

• Camera only. Photos, including Buddymoji selfies, can only be taken with the in-app camera. Nothing can be uploaded from a photo library.

How to report

• In the app: tap Report on any check-in, comment, Buddymoji or profile. "Someone underage", "Nudity or sexual content" and "Something illegal" are among the reasons you can choose.

• By email: support@elanorya.com — if you cannot open the app, or want to report something connected to Drink Buddy that you saw somewhere else.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

What we do

A person is alerted as soon as a report is filed. When we find child sexual abuse or exploitation in Drink Buddy, we:

• remove the content, suspend the account responsible, and keep the evidence the authorities need;

• report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to the relevant national authority — in Türkiye, İhbar Web, run by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK);

• cooperate with law enforcement.
