1. Who we are

Drink Buddy is published by Harun Yahya Öztürk under the Elanorya brand, Gülbahçe Mah. 7. Işık Sk. No: 29 İç Kapı No: 2, 16080 Osmangazi / Bursa, Türkiye. Support and legal notices both go to support@elanorya.com. The target for an initial human support response is two business days.

Elanorya publishes more than one app. These terms cover Drink Buddy alone; each other app has its own.

2. You must be 18

Drink Buddy is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and older if the legal drinking age where you live is higher.

We ask for your date of birth when you first sign in. Giving a false date is a breach of these terms and we will close the account. Repeatedly failing the age check from the same device is blocked for a period.

3. What Drink Buddy is

Drink Buddy is a private diary of what you drink, shared with friends you choose. It is not a public network: there is no public feed, and strangers cannot find or follow you.

It is not a health app and it is not a measuring instrument. It does not estimate blood alcohol, it cannot tell you whether you are fit to drive or to operate anything, and nothing in it is medical advice. Every count and every statistic it shows is arithmetic on what you typed in.

4. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. There is no password. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anybody who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at security@elanorya.com if you think somebody else has got in.

You can see your other sessions in the app and end any of them. A session ends by itself after 30 days without use, and after 90 days in every case.

One account per person. Do not impersonate anybody, and do not use a username to suggest you are somebody you are not.

5. Your content

What you post stays yours. We claim no ownership of your check-ins, photos, Buddymoji selfies or comments.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content and to show it to the people you have chosen to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that are overwritten on their normal cycle.

You are responsible for what you post. By posting you confirm you have the right to, including for any photograph containing another person.

A Buddymoji must be a photograph of you, taken in the app. It appears on your reactions to everyone who can see the check-in you react to, and our content rules apply to it as to anything else you post.

6. What you may not do

Post anything unlawful, hateful or harassing, or any sexual content involving minors.

Post somebody else's private information, or photograph a person where they would not expect it.

Encourage dangerous drinking, or use the app to pressure anybody into drinking.

Sell, advertise or promote anything.

Break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or reach it through anything other than our own app.

Get around a block, a rate limit or the age check.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation is never allowed. See our Child Safety Standards.

7. Reporting and moderation

You can report content, and you can block or mute a person. Blocking is immediate and does not tell the other person.

When we act on a report we will tell the person concerned what we decided and why, and they may reply to us about it. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where the law requires us to give reasons for such a decision, we will give them.

Reports of child sexual abuse or exploitation are handled as our Child Safety Standards describe, including reporting to the authorities.

8. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or from the deletion page on this site. Your account becomes invisible to everybody else immediately and you have 7 days in which you may change your mind. The privacy policy describes exactly what then happens to your data.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. Except where telling you would defeat the purpose — an ongoing risk to somebody, for instance — we will tell you why, and you may appeal to support@elanorya.com.

9. Buddy+ and Supporter badges

Buddy+ is an optional subscription, by the month or by the year, sold through Google Play. Before you buy, the app shows its price and its period. It renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel it in Google Play, under Subscriptions; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Supporter are one-time purchases, also through Google Play. Each adds its badge to your profile for as long as your account exists, and nothing else. They are purchases, not donations.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play.

Not having Buddy+ never limits your friendships, your check-ins or your notifications.

10. The service comes as it is

We work to keep Drink Buddy running and correct, and we cannot promise that it will never be unavailable, never lose data, or never contain a mistake. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without warranties.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

If you are a consumer you keep every right your local law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use Drink Buddy afterwards means you accept it. If you do not accept it, delete your account.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices competent under that law have jurisdiction. Consumers in Türkiye keep their access to the competent Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
